Green Heron and Baby Ibis

We love when a new visitor shows up...  it's fun to identify him.  As of this morning I couldn't figure out who this is...  he looks like a tri color heron, with his creamy neck.  But his neck is WAY too thick to be a tri color heron.  Maybe a baby something?  Finally I googled the right thing....   and found him.  Green heron!  Cuuuuute!  I hope he comes back.

Finally...  baby ibis!!!  We saw a lot of brown babies last year, but not this young.  These guys just hatched and showed up here - their eyes are black, their beaks are very short, and they have cute fuzzy little heads.  The only white on them is their little shorts...  aww.     I love how they look so sweet and new.

And lets close with a female anole lizard.... just found out the the back stripes are typically on the females, not the males.  Pretty!
