P2 is a private farm and sanctuary for non-threatening, Florida woodland animals. We're surrounded by the sound of construction and loss of natural habitat for birds, reptiles and creatures of all sort. Our goal is to provide a natural habitat for them to find respite amid the changing landscape and share the journey with you.

Deer enjoying a corn snack
When wildlife visitors come by like these deer, I know now to grab my iPhone and set it to video quick, since the visitors are just passing through and will move on quickly. These two male deer were playing like a couple of puppies out on the grass and saw the corn pile. One of the two could not resist a snack, while the other was eager to move on and gallop away (which they did ultimately do after the snack was over). It's funny, he kept finishing up, walking away with his friend, then coming back for "just one more bite". Then, finally, they bounded off playfully, off to that secret place where deer hang out.

Deer and Coyote
Catching a glimpse of the wildlife in the night is one of our favorite things to do... and it's been a busy week. The deer is a young male buck, and you can see his short horns. He was just enjoying a midnight snack of cracked corn.

The wolf was a bit of a surprise, and he was very nervous as he snacked on Ol Wolf. A few searches told me he's a Black melanistic coyote, a rare color for a coyote. I'm glad he doesn't come around often... this was a first.
