From several feet away, I was certain these 2-4" fish were NOT guppies, but maybe fingerling bass or minnows or something big... but after Mupper took incredible pictures with the magic camera, I can see that they are simply fat, long mutant guppies. They are bigger than ever this spring in the far pond. In the larger nearby lake, the biggest guppies got eaten by Hero the tricolor heron, and there are MILLIONS of babies, but no huge mutant guppies like in the far pond.
P2 is a private farm and sanctuary for non-threatening, Florida woodland animals. We're surrounded by the sound of construction and loss of natural habitat for birds, reptiles and creatures of all sort. Our goal is to provide a natural habitat for them to find respite amid the changing landscape and share the journey with you.

Window Sill Squirrel
It's so easy to put a scoop of sunflower seed on the window sill outside... Who needs a bird feeder? We have squirrels, cardinals, blue jays... inches from our faces. This guy decided that I was a little weird taking a picture of him 1" from his face... after I got this shot, he BOLTED away :)
